Greetings Summer-time Tricksters!

And to anyone who is new to our blogs, welcome! Welcome! Welcome! The weather’s getting hotter and the days sure are longer, but as tempting as it might be, we here at Megalo Company are still working around the clock instead of hanging out at the beach and soaking up some summer fun… but inside, we do sometimes wish that we were at the beach…

At any rate, as you’ve probably already seen the reminder on the official site about the current events ending very soon. If you haven’t already, make sure to get some time in on the Refer A Friend Event and the Blacksmith Marx’s Super Refining Challenge before they’re gone! But, once they’re done the brand new Summer events are ready to really kick in!

That’s right, this Summer a very special story event, and like the events that are about to end this week, it will only be around for a limited time! So make sure to check out the upcoming Summer Night Wish Event! You won’t regret it.

And one final heads up, there’s a new Gacha Town coming starring Bunny Maid! Make sure you don’t miss it!

Wow, there is much to do! And you thought that the Poppuri Event was involved? Well, so did we ^__^ but it was a good event, and we definitely want to thank everyone who participated! Especially those that were actually drilling boxes!!! Congrats to you, you’ve earned it!

But, now that the Poppuri Event is over the new Refining Event (Black Smith Marx’s Super Refining Challenge!) is now in full swing! And there are great incentives for getting involved including higher success rates for refining and drilling the required items, as well as a lower cost for the actual refining!

Also make sure to take a look at the new Refer A Friend Event as well, going on concurrently with the Refining Event! As always, you can check the official website for details!

Today (!), we get a chance to break in the brand new O/X Quiz Map – bigger, better, stronger, faster… er, bigger! A batch of almost 100 lucky Tricksters were good enough to help us stress test it yesterday, and it passed with flying colors. You can see a screen shot from yesterday in the O/X announcement today on our official site. And since the new map is up and functioning, we will be running the first official O/X Quiz on it today!

Here is a copy of the instructions for participating today:

If you are interested in taking part in this quiz, please follow these instructions very carefully as the entrance procedure has changed.

In order to enter the quiz, you will need a special “O/X Card Key”. This card key is a consumable item that will be distributed by a special NPC somewhere in the game world.

At precisely 6:20PM PDT, there will be a special in-game announcement on Ruby Channel to disclose the location of the NPC. The NPC will be placed in that location at 6:25PM PDT, giving players exactly five minutes to travel to the specified location.

A total of 60 O/X Card Keys will be given out by this NPC, no more will be distributed for this quiz once the NPC hands out all cards.

If you obtain an O/X Card Key, please proceed to Don Giovanni in front of the TBN building in Event Garden and you will be able to enter the quiz by speaking to him.

Please note that the O/X Card Key will be consumed once you enter, so you will need to obtain a new key to participate in future O/X Quiz events.

The O/X Quiz is scheduled to run from 6:30PM PDT ~ 07:00PM PDT on Ruby Channel.

In other news, and news that you can’t find on the official site just yet, this summer will mark the launch of a series Story Based Quests! This series of quests is just for the summer and will be split up into several parts. Look for further details in an upcoming announcement on our website and through the official Newsletter!

The Comic and Screenshot Event deadlines have passed and the winners will be announced very, very soon!

Welcome back to the official blogs for Trickster Online! Wow! Has this week been busy! Poppuri Event is going great, as I write, the 1st Stage of the event was completed! Great Job everyone! If you're not already involved in this major Trickster Online World Event, what are you waiting for? You can check out all the info on the official website or through the link, here: Poppuri Event! All the prizes will be distributed once the event is over! Time is ticking away, hurry up and start drilling! And for a little extra fun, our resident webcomic artist and illustrator has put together a great image to show support for the event. Make sure to check out the Megalo Life webcomic, updated every single Friday on the official Trickster Online Forums! Megalo Life Webcomic!

And speaking of Fridays and the things that we do on Fridays, we're going to be expanding our generally scheduled in-game events. So far, we've been conducting O/X Quizzes and PVP battles with the GMs on Friday afternoons (usually around 18:30 or so PST), and starting next week we will be adding another O/X Quiz at a different time during the week. GM Loki will be hosting this special engagement O/X Quiz on Tuesdays usually around 16:00 PST on Ruby – make sure to be in the Event Garden (Wedding Area) so you can get in! Now, to recap, O/X Quizzes will be held every Friday and this coming Tuesday on Ruby Channel! Make sure to check the website for any changes to this (the time of the event is subject to change)!

June 10th to July 10th MMOsite.com will be running a special Trickster Online event through their website to celebrate their second Anniversary! Winners of this will receive super rare in-game items for Trickster Online! So make sure to check it out!

 If you’ve been enjoying Gacha so far, then boy have I got some great news for you! Within the next few weeks there will be a new Town added to Gacha! This means even more unique and rare items, and it also means that we’re one step closer to utilizing the potential of those elusive 4G Cards… we’ll be talking more about that a bit later.

Also, as was aptly announced by our artist, and webcomic-er, Aleister D D Gilgrim, GM Eni will be leaving Megalo Company to pursue his future in the great outside world. The following was taken from Gilgrim’s Megalo Life commentary today, and I think it sums up the situation and all of our feelings rather well.

“On a sad note, at least for those of us here at [Megalo Company] who will miss their input and good nature, one of our own is leaving to go off and do bigger and better things. They’ve taken great care in following the ideal of a GM in-game, to serve the players, protect the game balance and get the bad guys, and now they will be transferring their energies in a very similar capacity to the real world. So as one of our favorite GMs leaves our sunglass and earpiece wearing family, we will miss them, but also will have a renewed faith that the outside world will be made a safer and better place through their efforts. GM Eni, thank you for being a part of Megalo Company, and Trickster Online, and we look forward to getting out of speeding tickets because of your personal influence >__>.

Congratulations on your acceptance to the program, you will truly be missed.”

So much has been going on, and there’s even more coming up that it hard to pull ourselves away from our duties on Caballa Island! But pull away we have, if only for a minute, and for good reason too! That reason? To give you a quick heads up on what’s coming out, and of course… to say hi! Hi ^__^!

But first, a quickie re-cap of all the recent stuff if you’ve missed it already (don’t worry, I won’t bore you with the details, but if you want more info make sure to hit up our website and our forums!): Guild Battle is here, as are Gacha, Megalo Life, 3 new Events (Comic Event #2, My Camp and Guild Battle Screen Shot Events!), the in-game Ice Family Event, a whole bunch of new stuff for My Shop and of course our recent trend of running at least one special, and impromptu live event in-game every Friday! Last week we had a simultaneous O/X Quiz and a 2 GM vs everyone PVP Battle!

So, as I said, check out the website and the Forums for all the details if you missed hearing about any of the above, and now on to the juicy bits. The next patch is just on the horizon, and that means more updates and new stuff, as is often the case, but we’re going to drop some insider-info here before it’s announced anywhere else ^o^!

There are 2 new pets coming out to My Shop, as well as a bunch of new items and sets!

New 2^nd Job Skills!

And lastly, the new Card Girl Quest is coming! Now, I know, and like you, we read the Forums too, we did release the quest before and it was pulled by us. The reason it was pulled, is because it was not complete, and certainly not complete to our satisfaction. So rather then let you plug through an incomplete quest, we chose to pull it, and re-polish it, and release it later. For those that didn’t get a chance to check it out last time, this is a very cool in-game Event, with A LOT of rewards for completing the many iterations (especially in TM Levels!)! Here’s how it works, Card Girl is on 11 different maps, and when you talk to here she will give you one of three riddles, very simply, solve the riddles to receive the reward! So put on your thinking caps and get ready to match wits with one of our favorite girls on the island!

All these are for the next patch, meaning the one coming THIS week, so get ready, things are going to start getting busy!

The entirely new, custom interface and design allows you to drill, drill, drill to your hearts content in this fantastic mini-game! To start, simply buy some Gacha Coins from My Shop, click on the special Gacha tab and away you go! Be on the lookout for the exclusive items that can ONLY be found through Gacha! Happy drilling!

This is a sneak peak, so stay tuned to the official website once this new series launches and immerse yourself in a candy colored, plethora of 2D sequential goodness that reveals the mysterious inner-workings of fun-loving, freaks and game lovers, that bring Trickster Online to you!

A few things to fill you in on before the weekend officially begins (Yay! weekend... but we work 24/7 ...T_T).

Firstly, starting next week you should see some new interviews with the creators of Trickster up on some popular game sites. Of course we'll let you know exactly where to find them as soon as they're posted ^__^, there's some great stuff in them, I know, I've seen them myself, including some announcements for upcoming releases and features (yes, 3rd jobs are mentioned, but you will have to read the interviews for more details).

Secondly, the Newest Newsletter is coming out (very soon, meaning most likely Monday, depending on your email provider). Great stuff in there too, make sure to read it, besides it's pretty and fun to look at.

Lastly, for those in the Southern CA area (specifically within distance to the OC) our own resident Trickster Illustrator Aleister D D Gilgrim will be at Comic Universe in Fountain Valley doing a signing, some sketches and promoting his SLG comic with other SLG artists! If you get a chance, swing by and say hi! He's a sad lonely soul and the wellwishes from strangers seem to lift his spirits (and that means he draws better!) ^__^. Flyer 1 and flyer 2.

Greetings Tricksters!

That’s right; it’s that time, time for what you say? Why, time for some important information! Now, if you’ve been following the announcements on the main website and through the Newsletters, then some of this should come off as old-hat, however, there might be some tid-bits that you didn’t get the first time, so listen up, and listen up good ^__^.

First off, My Camp, My Shop have both been released, while the website and subsequently the Forums have had a major overhauling. Separately, these are certainly important events, but together, why, they mark a great point in Trickster Online history! As of February 28^th 2007 Trickster Online is now fully released! What this means is that we are no longer in the Beta, or any other testing stages. Does this mean that there will not be new things added all the time? That we are going to become lazy, and sit on our duffs? Of course not! But this should clarify the fact that we are here, Trickster is officially and fully out and available and we’re only going to be picking up speed from here.

So, back to the details of this monumental occasion. A brand new website design is here. If you haven’t seen it yet, you really need to, it is super-extra spiffy and comes with a LOT of functions and features that we have not had before. Similar to this are the brand-spanking-new-Forums! New Forums, new look, new posts, new interface = more fun and usefulness! Really, you need to take a look when you can, which means as soon as you’re done reading this. And of course, the My Shop and My Camp, probably the two most anticipated releases for Trickster (and before you start screaming about 3^rd jobs, remember that not everyone is quite done with their first jobs, let alone their second). Now, with My Shop and My Camp, through the website, or in-game directly, you can purchase, organize and collect a host of new items not available anywhere else! New equipment, weapons, armor, items, repair items (Repair Powder), Compound Items (Elixirs, and Nate’s Bottle), drills, pets, Fashion Items(!), and of course everything for your decorating needs in your own My Camp are now available in My Shop. Not only that, but there will be more and more and more items added in the near future, so keep checking the Shop to see what new things we have for you!

So a quick re-cap – Open Beta is officially over (if you’ve noticed, all Accounts and Characters have been maintained, ^__^ yay!), we have a brand new website, brand new Forums, My Camp and My Shop are now open and ready for business! So there are a lot of things to check out, and please know that we certainly couldn’t have done this without you! So from all of us here at Megalo Company, thank you, and please join us as we celebrate the official launch of our favorite game!

Hello Tricksters!

A few things to cover real quick, some things that we definitely wanted to share with you!

The Valentine’s Day Event is about to end, and soon enough the rewards for those that chose wisely will be available! 

What is the reward you ask, well, it’s a brand new pet!

Rose Fairy will be available as an exclusive pet for those that correctly completed the Valentine’s Day Event quest.

Also, coming very, very soon, and we know that a lot of you have been asking specifically for this, My Camp and My Shop are on their way! No definite date just yet, but as always, stay tuned to the official website for the most up to date information and releases. Megalo Company here to let you know that sometime early next week we will be announcing the winners of the Comic Event. The votes have been cast and winners have been chosen, and soon it will be time to share their wears with every trickster out there.

! Believe me when I say that judging all of these entries to find that one special winner was not easy at all… so much so that we sought the advice of a comic professional. Luckily, they agreed and helped us to narrow down our selection to the submissions you see here. Thanks again to all the lovely Tricksters who participated (keep those markers, pens, pencils and paints, and mice and waccoms ready for the next one too!), and thank you to (Aleister D D) Gilgrim our Industry/professional consultant who also made the snazzy illustration to commemorate this occasion!

It's official, the Valentine's Day Event is up and running - so what are you waiting for? The important part of this Event is really not so much the quests that we're all used to but rather a collective choice that will have to be made... which of our fav pretty boys will you choose? Pastor Tau? Love Hunter Robin? Choose well, and choose carefully, because only those who choose the winner, the one that receives the most Love Chocolates from all the Players will receive a reward.

To help celebrate this event, and some of the new upcoming changes that will be made for Trickster Online, we have one more related announcement. The Megalo Company has seen fit to contract a professional artist/comic creator/manga ka to produce original illustrations and other upcoming projects for Trickster. The above is one of these such pieces, so please welcome Aleister D D Gilgrim to fold of the Megalo Company and Trickster Online ^__^. We expect great things from him - be sure to give him a hard time if he doesn't live up to our standards!
